I serve as the Publicist for the Society of African American Studies, intern at the Office of Community Engagement, and also at Alsharq Al-Awsat Newspaper in Washington, D.C. In Fall 2017 I had the pleasure of interning on Capitol Hill with the first black woman to represent New Jersey in the House, Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ-12). I love being a BSOS Ambassador because it allows me to give back to the college that has guided and supported me ever since I arrived at UMD.
