Congratulations on your acceptance to the University of Maryland!

On your Coalition App or Common App, you should have received a decision on your intended College.  If your intended major falls under the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, please feel free to explore your respective department page.  If you have received admission into Letters and Sciences, this means you will be enrolled at UMD as an undecided major—however, you may declare a BSOS major upon meeting with an advisor, as long as you meet the requirements.

Freshman Connection:  If your letter mentions Freshman Connection, please visit their website to learn about all of the opportunities available to you in Fall 2021!

Scholarship ExplanationsIf you have received a scholarship, or if you have been invited to interview for the prestigious Banneker/Key Scholarship, please visit the links for further information.

Please follow these links if you have questions regarding LEP requirements, and/or Living and Learning Communities.

We hope you will join us for one of our virtual Admitted Student Open Houses!  Visit the Admissions website for dates and availability.

Interested in a particular department or major?  Please listen to our previously recorded Student to Student Series, presented by our Dean's Student Advisory Council.  Hear from students, faculty, and alumni about what it means to be a major within each respective BSOS department.
