Many freshmen are invited to participate in Maryland’s Living and Learning Programs. Students who are invited to participate in Honors College, College Park Scholars, Global Communities, CIVICUS, and Carillon Communities Living-Learning Programs can combine their studies in their major with the rich opportunities offered in one of Maryland’s living-learning environments.

There are also a variety of living-learning programs that BSOS students can join after the freshman year, including Honors College, Language House,Beyond the Classroom, Hinman CEO’s, and others.

Students who do not participate in a living and learning program but who choose to live on-campus still have access to engaging community and residential resources through the Department of Resident Life.
